The Marketing Team is expanding and is looking for an experienced Content Manager.

SUMMARY

We are looking for a talented Content Manager to write and produce various projects as well as expand our company’s digital footprint, awareness, subscribers, and leads. This role requires B2B experience, a passion for fitness or related health and wellness, high level of creativity, attention to detail, and project management skills. The position reports to the Global Marketing Director.

As a key member of the Marketing Team, the Content Manager position has frequent interface with various departments within Freemotion, customers, industry experts, and outside vendors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following.

  • Understand the company’s goals to develop & manage an editorial calendar for various channels including company blog, social media, website, internal and external communications, PR.
  • Create product and marketing content (sales collateral, success stories, product videos, website copy, blog posts, white papers,, etc.) that articulates the benefits of our products to multiple audiences.
  • Copy, edit, proofread, and improve all written content.
  • Create and push frequent and engaging content (long- and short-form) to drive leads, subscribers, awareness, and/or other important metrics on our social media sites (LinkedIn / Facebook/Instagram).
  • Collaborate with designers, product, marketing, sales, and external influencers and industry experts to produce relevant content that meets the needs of both key stakeholders and our audience.
  • Optimize content considering SEO and Google Analytics.
  • Produce creative assets for external events like tradeshows.
  • Along with the Global Marketing Director, develop content strategy for new product launches including sales tools and customer tools.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Comprehensive B2B marketing experience
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create it
  • Past experience producing content in both long- and short-form, and in a variety of formats to be shared digitally, email, and print.
  • Passion for fitness or health and wellness
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
  • A dual-minded approach: creative and an excellent writer but can also be process-driven, think scale, and rely on data to make decisions and create relevant content.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Any equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job, will be considered.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, public relations or equivalent working experience

 

Experience and Skills:

  • 2-5 years relevant experience in content strategy, marketing, communications and public relations with demonstrated success.
  • Experience working collaboratively with sales, marketing and other relevant internal functions.
  • Strategic thinking and great attention to detail.
  • Computer literate including experience using CMS system, social media sites (LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook), Adobe Suite, Google products
  • Experience in B2B marketing in the fitness industry or similar industry preferred
  • Exposure and understanding of international markets preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Exceptional written and oral communications skills, creativity, and attention to detail are a must.  Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business reports. Ability to write reports, business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply basic algebra geometry concepts.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
