R&D Receptionist

SUMMARY 

Greets and assists people arriving to the lobby of the R&D building.  Answers incoming telephone calls using a Cisco Call Manager System or multi-line telephone system.  Assists in determining the nature of the call and to whom the call should be directed.

This job serves as a face for the company to a diverse group of people.  A successful candidate will be a self motivated individual with an interest in assisting guests and employees in a range of functions.  This individual will be responsible for the following:

  • Ensuring that the Lobby and Conference room are clean and business ready
  • Takes and delivers messages as needed
  • Being aware of persons coming into the Lobby and willingly offer assistance as needed.  This may include but not be limited to delivery person that need assistance with opening doors
  • Retrieves messages from voice mail and forwards to appropriate personnel
  • Answers questions about organization and provides caller with address, directions and other information
  • Monitors visitor access and issues passes when required
  • Receives, sorts, and routes mail, and maintains and routes publications
  • Performs other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying and collating
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job
  • This job requires a Business casual dress code 
  • Other duties may be assigned.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 
High School Diploma or GED.  Clerical, phones, and some computer experience.

 

The hours are 8am-12:30pm and 12:30pm -5pm
